Interested in studying at YALI?
In order to qualify for classes at the Yemen-America Language Instutue, all new students and those who have not studied for three consecutive terms must take a placement exam.
This ensures that every student obtains the approriat instruction based on their level of comprehension.
Our Campus
YALI, the largest English language institute in Yemen, is fully equipped with everything to best serve nearly 25,000 students a year. YALI's facilities consist of four three-story buildings which include classrooms, computer labs, a library and a café. In this extensive campus students can practice their English both in academic and social environments.
Classrooms: YALI's classrooms provide students with an appropriate setting for language acquisiton. Forty five classrooms equipped with tape recorders, DVD players, whiteboards and comfortable desks. Classroom instruction is designed to develop the student’s speaking, listening skills, reading and writing skills.
Library: The YALI library houses a substantial collection of English texts, hundreds of fiction and non-fiction novels for low-intermediate, intermediate, high-intermediate and advanced students. It also offers magazines and other reading material that can be read in the library. The collection’s open stacks are easily accessible The facilities also include a quiet reading area.
Computer Labs: Computer Lab designed to enhance the learning process through a wide variety of English language programs. The Multi-Media Lab also offers English language programs as well as internet access, movies, TV programs and the Internet.
